CaptureThinking of getting the BlackBerry Priv? The handset is currently available for pre-order and according to BlackBerry’s website, it is set for a release on the 6th of November. Oddly enough despite the company having a lot riding on the phone, they did not really dive into too much details about what customers can expect.

This means that we’ll probably need to wait for it to be released and reviewed to find out more. However if you’d rather not wait, you’re in luck. Over in the CrackBerry forums, one user has posted several screenshots that he had taken from the BlackBerry Priv simulator, with the link to it now being dead.

priv productivity edgeAccording to what he found, one of the cool features of the curved display of the handset is its ability to show you the progress of charging, as you can see in the screenshot above. This is an interesting feature and one that users might find useful at a glance. There is also another feature called Productivity Edge.

This feature was not mentioned by BlackBerry, but from we can tell from the screenshot and the description, it sounds like it’s a way for users to access shortcuts to apps and contacts by sliding their finger in from the right side of the screen. In any case here’s hoping that closer to the release, BlackBerry will has some official introduction and rundown of some of its key features.
