DJI is widely known for making some of the best drones that average consumers can buy, its drones feature high-quality cameras that allow for stunning video captures with cinema-quality stabilization thanks to its gimbal technology. The company has now brought over that same level of stabilization quality literally to your hands, today it launched the DJI Osmo, a handheld stabilizer with an integrated 4K camera.

The idea behind this product is to enable average users to record video that’s almost as stable as one from a professional-grade camera. It has an integrated 12-megapixel 4K camera but the Osmo hasn’t been designed as a fixed single-purpose device, so it is compatible with the company’s Zenmuse cameras.

Osmo’s integrated camera has a 94° field-of-view lens and a 1/2.3″ sensor, it’s designed to capture a smooth moving image regardless of filming conditions. Controls are built into the handle of the mount enabling users to easily and quickly change shooting angles, adjust various settings and control features like panorama mode, slow motion and long exposure modes.

There’s an integrated stereo mic in the handle as well aside from a 3.5mm standard audio jack for high quality audio capture. Osmo works with several accessories as well which includes a tripod, straight arm extension, bike mount and an extension rod.

DJI Osmo starts shipping October 15th, it’s available for pre-order right away at $649.
