You might have heard recently that Tesla CEO Elon Musk made some pretty harsh comments about Apple, he was answering a question concerning reports that Apple is building an electric car for which it’s poaching engineers from Tesla. Musk set the record straight saying “If you don’t make it at Tesla you go work at Apple. I’m not kidding.” He also threw some shade at the Apple Watch, his comments were deemed by the media to be too anti-Apple and perhaps that has prompted Musk to clarify some of his statements.

Elon Musk took to Twitter today to clarify some things, “Yo, I don’t hate Apple,” he writes, adding that he believes it’s a great company that has a lot of talented people. Musk also says that he loves their products and is glad that they’re doing an electric vehicle.

Considering that Apple has neither confirmed nor denied if it’s working on an electric car perhaps Apple fans waiting on the car could take Musk’s word for it and keep their fingers crossed, perhaps he knows something about Apple’s future plans that we do not.

He even clarified his comments about the Apple Watch, saying that Jony Ive and his team have created a “beautiful design,” but the functionality isn’t quite compelling yet. “By version 3, it will be,” tweets Musk.
