Ubisoft has literally been teasing its new title for 24 hours, we did come across a leak in between which revealed what it is that Ubisoft is actually going to announce, and now it has come out and made the official announcement. It’s the next Far Cry game titled Far Cry Primal, as the name suggests, there will be primal beings like mammoths which will certainly make for an interesting experience. Ubisoft has confirmed the release date for this title today.

Far Cry Primal is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the publisher’s flagship studio, with teams located in Shanghai, Toronto and Kiev lending a helping hand.

The publisher says that Far Cry Primal is a “full-fledged single player experience,” with players assuming the role of Takkar, a hunter who has to survive in a world where humans are prey. Sounds lovely. To survive players will have to hunt, craft weapons to hunt, try to find food and fight off dangerous animals. There will be never a dull moment in this game it seems.

This title succeeds Far Cry 4 which arrived last November and Ubisoft ended up shipping seven million copies of that title, Far Cry Primal is slated for release on February 23rd 2016 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a PC version arriving in March 2016.
