a9-benchmarkIt seems that the upcoming HTC One A9 looks set to be on its way to be the main draw when the 20th of October event rolls around, as there are plenty of leaks surrounding the handset, not to mention having it appear on a benchmark before the device has hit the market officially. Having said that, whenever there is a device that makes its way as a benchmark, you can be more or less certain that the kind of hardware specifications in which the smartphone carries too, will also be shown off.

While the HTC One A9 did appear on Geekbench last month, GFXBench happens to be the benchmarking app of choice this time around, albeit with different hardware specifications. According to the GFXBench benchmark, the HTC One A9 will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 SoC (with a 1.5 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU), although Geekbench listed it to arrive with the MediaTek Helio X20 that boasts of a ten-core CPU, while other rumors prior point to the HTC One A9 sporting a Snapdragon 617 chipset instead.

Other alleged hardware specifications point to a 5” Full HD display, either a 12MP or 13MP camera at the back, either a 4MP UltraPixel selfie shooter or a normal 5MP front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Expect it to arrive with Android 6.0 Marshmallow just like the prototype.
