Nexus-6P-05If there is one thing that Apple tends to focus on when creating new products, it would be its design. A lot of emphasis is placed on how the product looks like, what materials it’s made of, and if you’ve ever seen Apple’s promotional videos, basically every nook and cranny of a device is expounded on.

That being said, it looks like Huawei could be headed that direction soon. The company has recently hired Apple’s former creative director Abigail Brody. Brody will be taking up residence at Huawei where she will be its chief user experience designer, which basically means that she will be in charge of the user interfaces for Huawei’s products.

To show how serious the company is taking design, it seems that Huawei will be creating a US design studio in which we can only assume is where Brody will be working from. For those unfamiliar with Apple’s execs, Brody was working with Apple until 2011. She was one of the designers behind the original iPhone, and also helped to design OS X and Apple pro apps like Aperture and Final Cut Pro.

She also spent two years designing for PayPal after that, so safe to say that Brody definitely has the chops to get the job done and then some. If you do enjoy Apple’s creations, then future Huawei products with Brody leading the charge should be worth looking forward to.
