huawei-logoFor those of you out there who happen to be toting a Huawei device, you would be pleased to know that the world’s third largest smartphone vendor has introduced an official list that states out whether a particular device would be on the receiving end of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update or not. Of course, before you go all nuts about it, do bear in mind that this list applies only for the devices that have been introduced over in China – which means that selected international smartphone models from Huawei will not see the latest version of the Android mobile operating system being made available.

As for the list of Huawei devices which have already been confirmed to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, they would be the P8, Mate S, Ascend Mate7, P8max, Ascend G7, G7 Plus, G8, Honor 7, Honor 7i, Honor 6 Plus, Honor 6, MediaPad X2, Honor 4X, and Honor 4C.

Needless to say, a list is not a static thing, and it might expand in the future (and hopefully not shrink!), since Huawei has left some wriggle room behind, citing that these will not be the only devices to be on the receiving end of Android 6.0 Marshmallow eventually. Perhaps the first updates will be released in November, but that would be an optimistic time frame.
