Lumia_950XL_1It is said that both the Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones are so close to getting released, you can almost smell them – but the thing is, they do not seem as though they would land in anyone’s hands immediately. Basically, both smartphones have already seen their official landing pages on the Microsoft Store website go live, but the sad thing is, neither are available for purchase. Still, there is one consolation point – these landing pages point to the offer of email notifications for those who happen to have an inkling of interest in bringing one of these puppies back home.

Firstly, the Lumia 950 XL page happens to target the unlocked version of the handset, but as for the Lumia 950, it will come with a couple of different pages. One of these happen to be for the unlocked model, while the other is for the AT&T model. Apart from that, everything else about both handsets do seem to measure up in terms of the hardware specifications, where the Lumia 950 XL will be a wee bit larger with its display as well as a speedier Snapdragon 810 chipset as opposed to the Snapdragon 808-toting Lumia 950. Ah well, it looks like everyone will just need to be patient to see either one land in one’s hands. Perhaps this has something to do with the hardware not quite ready yet for prime time performance, as demo units were actually pulled from Microsoft Stores not too long ago.
