lumia_950_xl_cameraOne of the new flagship phones from Microsoft that was recently announced is the Lumia 950 XL. This is the larger of the two phones that Microsoft had announced with a 5.7-inch QHD display along with liquid cooling technology. That in by itself should already make for a pretty awesome handset, but the camera is what will blow you away.

While Microsoft didn’t exactly expound on the virtues of the handset’s camera, a recent photo has surfaced which shows that the phone is more than capable of handling its own as far as cameras are concerned. The photo was snapped by @jalakarhu on Instagram and as you can see, this was captured in macro mode using the Lumia 950 XL.

Now if you did not know that this was the Lumia 950 XL, there is a good chance that you might have thought it was an elaborate camera setup with a dedicated macro lens, but nope, this was all captured on the phone and we have to say that it looks stunning. The clarity and the details preserved by the camera’s sensors are pretty spot on.

We can’t tell if there was further editing made by the photographer, but even then we suppose it just serves to illustrate how great the camera is. If camera quality is your priority when choosing a new smartphone, perhaps the Lumia 950 XL could be worth considering.
