microsoft_surface_book_5Thinking of upgrading your computer? If you have a computer that’s less than 6 years old, you might be interested to learn that Microsoft has a new offer. With the offer, the Redmond company will be offering you up to $300 in trade-in credit if you were to bring in your old PC or Mac in exchange for a new Windows 10 PC.

In fact it seems a bit unfair, but if you have a Mac that you’d like to trade-in for a Windows 10 PC, Microsoft will give you $300 for a MacBook, while Windows laptops will only get $200. Kind of taking a dig at Apple, but then again we suppose this doesn’t really come as a surprise since both companies are still at heart competitors.

In terms of the PC you will be trading in for, they will be priced starting at $599 so don’t expect get a one-for-one trade-in. According to the folks at VentureBeat, they have found that there are 53 specific PC models from a variety of OEMs such as Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Razer, Samsung, Toshiba, and VAIO, meaning you will be pretty much spoilt for choice, but no Surface computers we’re afraid.

If this sounds like something you’re interested in, then head on over to Microsoft’s website for the details on how to claim this offer, which for now is only valid in Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Taiwan, the U.K., and the U.S.
