Microsoft-Band-2Earlier this month Microsoft announced the new Microsoft Band. Given that the previous iteration of the Microsoft Band proved to be quite a hit, the successor to it was highly anticipated as it was supposed to introduce new features and improvements that some users felt were missing from the original.

That being said, if you do like what you see, you might be pleased to learn that the new Microsoft Band is available for purchase starting from today. The device is priced at $250 and will be available for purchase via a number of retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Dell, Microsoft’s online store, or the company’s brick and mortar outlets.

The new Microsoft Band is actually more expensive than its predecessor by $50, but with the new design and features, maybe it could be justified. For starters, the new Microsoft Band has a curved display making it look more sleek and more natural on your wrist than its predecessor. It sports a Gorilla Glass 3 display and will come with Cortana integration and a barometer to help measure elevation when it comes to climbing stairs or hiking.

The device will retain some of its original features like being able to track your sleep, your heart rate, as well as your calories. There will be built-in GPS, smart notifications, and there will also be guided workouts. Best of all it will play nicely across iOS, Android, and Windows Phone platforms.
