The whole iMac family will mark for the very first time that the 21.5” iMac will see a new Retina 4K display accompany it, while the 27” iMac will be on the receiving end of a stunning Retina 5K display, now how about that? These updated iMacs will also boast of more powerful processors as well as graphics, a pair of Thunderbolt 2 ports and new storage options in order to make them more affordable to the masses.

Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, shared, “From the first iMac to today, the spirit of iMac has never wavered — deliver the ultimate desktop experience with the latest technologies, gorgeous displays and cutting-edge designs. These are the most stunning iMacs we’ve ever made. With our gorgeous new Retina displays, more powerful processors and graphics and all-new Magic accessories, the new iMac continues to redefine the ultimate desktop experience.”

Retina display ensures that text appears sharper than ever, while videos will look so lifelike, you would be gazing in awe at the new levels of detail in your photos. The 21.5” iMac with a Retina 4K display sports an amazing 4096 x 2304 resolution and 9.4 million pixels, while the 27” iMac with a Retina 5K display makes it the world’s highest resolution all-in-one display with a stunning 14.7 million pixels.

The 27” iMac with Retina 5K display will be available in $1,799, $1,999 and $2,299 configurations, while the 21.5” iMac will retail for $1,099, $1,299 and $1,499 configurations. [Press Release]
