razer-musicRazer is a company that is probably better known for its gaming peripherals like keyboards, mice, headphones, speakers, and so on. However recently we’ve started to see the company branch out into other industries, like wearables with the Razer Nabu, and now according to an announcement made by the company, they are diving into the music business with Razer Music.

Before you think that this is another music streaming service designed to compete with the likes of Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Pandora, Rdio, and etc., you would be mistaken. Instead Razer Music is a new music platform that is aimed at music producers and musicians. Basically if you’re an aspiring musician or one who is looking to improve their production, Razer Portal will feature video tutorials, articles, and production tips from industry experts.

This includes artists such as deadmau5, Feed Me, Metro Boomin, Dyro, and Carnage, with more to come at a later date. According to Razer’s CEO and co-founder Min-Liang Tan, “Artists and DJs from all over the world have connected with me to discuss producing on the Razer Blade. The power and portable form factor of our systems offers artists the performance they need, whether in the studio, on the road or onstage.”

To top things off, Razer has also entered into a deal with Image-Line and will be bundling FL Studio Producer Edition with the purchase of the Razer Blade laptop. For those who already purchased the laptop, don’t worry because the deal has also been extended to those who purchased the 2015 models as well.
