rottr_season_passSeason passes for video games are pretty common these days. Basically it’s the equivalent of gamers pre-purchasing additional content for the game ahead of its release, and generally speaking it’s cheaper than if you were to buy the DLCs individually. That being said if you were hoping for Season Passes with Rise of the Tomb Raider, you’re in luck.

So far neither Square Enix nor Microsoft has confirmed anything about a Season Pass for Rise of the Tomb Raider. However thanks to a listing on Amazon (via Windows Central), the Season Pass for the Xbox One console has been confirmed. Amazon’s listing will also allow gamers to place pre-orders on the Season Pass where it is priced at $29.99.

Interestingly enough the Season Pass will be released on the 10th of November which is when the game has also been pegged for a release. However we can only assume that this means that Season Pass will be available, as opposed to its contents being made available on that date.

Unfortunately not much is known in terms of what we can expect from the Season Pass save for its description which reads, “The Season Pass for Rise of the Tomb Raider includes a range of content that will extend your single-player campaign, and also allow you to compete with friends.”
