Are you looking forward to the next installation of the Tomb Raider series? If you are, then you won’t have to wait much longer as Rise of the Tomb Raider has been pegged for a release on the 10th of November. To whet your appetite (or to sate your curiosity), the launch trailer of the upcoming game has been released.

As you can see in the video above, it runs for about a little over 3 minutes and will feature an original song dubbed “I Shall Rise” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O. The song is pretty awesome and seems to mesh well with the mood of the trailer, which is also a pretty good watch that all Tomb Raider fans should definitely check out.

In a statement released by O with regards to the song, “They wanted an emotional song that captures the intensity of the moment Lara Croft transforms into the Tomb Raider, the theme of a young woman becoming an icon. I was very intrigued by the challenge and I guess I was amidst a significant transformation of my own being pregnant at the time I wrote it. Now that I have a brought a life into the world I have no trouble relating to a character like Lara’s who pushes past her own limits to prevail under extreme circumstances.”

Rise of the Tomb Raider is the second title in the rebooted franchise. It has been suggested that the rebooted franchise could be made into a trilogy so you might be able to expect at least one more title after this. To date gameplay videos have been released so we guess all that’s left is to just play the game.
