samsung-game-tunerIt goes without saying that the harder your phone has to work, the more battery it will consume, and in some cases it could end up performing worse because the hardware isn’t powerful enough. However the good news is that Samsung has since published an app called the Game Tuner.

What the app does is that it allows users to adjust their games via the app to make it more manageable on their phones. This means that gamers will be able to adjust settings like the resolution of the game or even its framerate. So if you’re all about performance, the app will let you crank up the resolution and framerate.

However if you don’t want a laggy experience or maybe you just want to conserve battery, you can lower the resolution and framerate as well. The app also lets gamers cap the framerate anywhere between 15-60fps if you want to try and create a more uniform gaming experience while you play.

Interestingly enough the app seems to only support devices like the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, and the Galaxy Note 5, all of which are pretty powerful handsets capable of handling their own, but hopefully we will see Samsung add support for lower-mid range phones as well. In the meantime if you’d like to get the app, head on over to the Google Play Store for the download.
