Want a shot of espresso while you’re out and about but don’t want to divert from your journey to stop a Starbucks? Don’t worry, now with Sippy you won’t have to. For those wondering what on earth is Sippy, basically it is a gadget that looks a bit like a thermos flask, but it has the ability to churn out espresso shots for you while on the go.

This makes it ideal for people always on the run, or maybe even useful if you plan to travel, or if you’re out camping and you want your morning coffee. Best of all, it will work nicely with Nespresso, Hema, Coffee Duck-compatible pods so if you do have any of those lying around (if you don’t you can buy them) you can make use of them as well.

This is more convenient than getting your own beans and grinding them, although we suppose it could be more expensive. So how does Sippy work? Basically you pour the hot water in, put in the capsule/pod, press a button and thanks to a removable and replaceable CO2 cartridge, it will put out enough pressure to extract an espresso shot.

In fact according to the demo video above, it seems that Sippy is good enough to extract an espresso shot with a decent amount of crema which we have to say is pretty impressive for a portable machine. Sippy has launched on Kickstarter so if you’d like to pledge your support, hit up its Kickstarter page for the details.
