nexus-5-review--015If you have the Nexus 5 on T-Mobile’s network and are thinking of updating to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, maybe you should hold off on it first. According to reports on Reddit, it seems that the handset is facing reception issues after the update. In a reply by a T-Mobile rep, the problem has since been reported internally.

Now we should point out that not all Nexus 5 handsets on T-Mobile are affected and it doesn’t seem to be a widespread problem either. There are plenty of users who are claiming that their phones are working just fine. At this point it is unclear as to what might be causing the poor reception. It is entirely possible that the user encountered a particularly bad moment in reception after the update.

It is also possible that it could be an issue with the update that has messed with the settings of the phone, causing it to suffer poor network reception. Several users have suggested doing a wipe before flashing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, to which it worked for some of them, but other like the original poster claimed that it made no difference.

Either way if you want to flash the update, you can go ahead and do so, just keep in mind that there might be some potential issues with it. Either way we will keep our eyes peeled for more information, which hopefully is just a moment of bad reception that will correct itself in due time, if it hasn’t already. In the meantime any of our readers experience this problem themselves?
