tag-heuer-smartwatch

It was confirmed a few months back that luxury watch brand Tag Heuer is developing a smartwatch, its very first smartwatch, and naturally many are interested to see how a company that’s globally known for great luxury watches performs when it comes to mate traditional horology skills with the latest technology. We’ll get the answer next month, for now though Tag Heuer has a new teaser of its first Android smartwatch.

Tag Heuer has released a silhouetted image of its first smartwatch, at first glance the design language doesn’t seem to be that different from existing Tag Heuer models, and to be honest that’s not what most people will be focusing on.

They’ll be interested in seeing whether Tag Heuer has been able to put the “smart” in its first smartwatch, which is powered by an Intel chipset, and runs Android Wear.

Don’t expect this to be a cheap smartwatch though even if most Android Wear smartwatches usually sell for under $300. It’s a Tag Heuer through and through with a price tag to match, expect the wearable device to retail for over $1,500.

The company is going to make all of us wait until November 9th, that’s when it will finally take the wraps off of the wearable device.
