iOS has the ability for users to create folders, as is usually the case with most (if not all) mobile operating systems these days. However unlike computers and full-fledged operating systems like Windows or OS X, creating nested folders on mobile operating systems like iOS is simply not possible, at least until now.

Before you get too excited thinking that this is a new feature of iOS 9, it isn’t. Instead what it is is a bug in iOS that allows users to create nested folders. So if you’re really fussy over the way your apps are arranged, maybe you want an Entertainment folder that split further into Videos, Games, Photos, and etc., you can get that now.

How does this work? Basically you will need to create multiple folders first. From there you will need to place the parent folder into the top right-hand corner of the screen, tap and hold the icon/folder till it starts wriggling, and from there it becomes something of a trick. You will need to move the secondary folder towards the bottom left edge of the display.

At the same time, you will also need to keep tapping the primary folder and eventually it will all fall into place. It’s a weird bug and seems tricky as hell, but as you can see in the video above, it works. We should point out that if your phone were to reset, it will return the folders to their previous placement, so enjoy it while it lasts and until Apple issues a fix for it.
