How do you get feedback from your followers on Twitter? You can either ask them to tweet straight at you and if you have a lot of followers it can be a pain to sort through all of those responses. A common way is to ask followers to retweet for one option, favorite your tweet for the other. Today Twitter is providing a much better way of getting feedback, it’s allowing you to create polls.

The microblogging service can confirmed today that users can now create polls and vote on polls started by other users, thus enabling all of its users to easily seek feedback from their followers without having to adopt any of the methods previously mentioned. To create a poll just tap the button to create a tweet and there’ll be a new option there that will let you create a poll, Twitter says that this option will go live for all users.

For now polls will only be live for 24 hours and will be restricted to two choices, so you can essentially ask a question with yes or no as options, or any variation of a question with choices that best suit your requirements. You can’t have more than two right now though.

Once the 24 hour voting period is up everyone who participated in the poll will get a notification about the final result, voting will be anonymous and any user can vote on any poll.

According to Twitter the polls feature will go live for all users across web, iOS and Android over the next couple of days.
