verizon ellipsisAs we have seen from the likes of the Droid series of Android smartphones, Verizon really likes selling devices that are unique and exclusive to the carrier. Now if you’re in the market for a cheap Android tablet, there is a good chance that your wish could be coming true, and soon. This is thanks to a recent tweet by @evleaks, showing off the alleged press rendering of the upcoming Verizon Ellipsis 10 Android tablet.

The carrier has released various tablets under the Ellipsis brand in the past. For example back in 2013, the company launched the Ellipsis 7, and in 2014 they announced the Ellipsis 8. For the most part the tablets are marketed as affordable devices so in terms of specs, don’t expect to be blown away by anything too fancy.

Unfortunately apart from the photo, specs of the tablet are still somewhat of a mystery. However given its name and how Verizon has named its tablets in the past, we are most likely looking at a tablet with a 10-inch display. Apart from that, what’s under the hood of the tablet is really anyone’s guess. Interestingly enough as pointed out by one reader, the tablet seems to be sporting Verizon’s old logo when the company just last month announced a new one.

We’re not sure what’s with the inconsistencies, but perhaps the company is planning on holding onto the older logo for the time-being. In any case we guess we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled for more information regarding the device.
