Tablets for the most part are seen as multipurpose devices. This is because generally speaking, they can do all sorts of things like work, watch videos, edit photos, make music, play games, and more. However if you are more into gaming, then perhaps the Acer Predator 8 might be of interest to you, and even better news is that you can now pre-order it.

For those unfamiliar, the Acer Predator 8 was a tablet announced a couple of months ago at IFA 2015. This is a tablet that according to Acer, has been designed for gaming in mind. This is largely thanks to features like four front-facing speakers that Acer is calling the Predator Qaudio, and tactile feedback delivered via Predator TacSense technology.

In terms of hardware, the Predator 8 is no slouch. It will feature an 8-inch Full HD display and under the hood, an Intel Atom Z8700 processor clocked at 1.6GHz can be found. There will also be 2GB of RAM accompanying it, 32GB of storage, a microSD card slot for expandable storage, and Android 5.1 Lollipop running the show.

The battery of the Predator 8 is of the 4,550mAh variety with Acer claiming a max run time of 8 hours. If you’d like to place a pre-order, Acer is currently accepting them via its website where the tablet is priced at a pretty affordable $299.99.
