c3poIf you have ever used Waze you know that the app comes with spoken directions as one of its features. Now there are several different voices that one can choose from, but in case you want a bit of a unique voice, you’re in luck. According to a report from EW, it seems that you can now choose to use C-3PO of Star Wars fame as your navigational voice.

The good news is that the update is free so if you were worried you might have to pay for the pleasure of using C-3PO’s voice on Waze, you can stop worrying. The update should already be available on iOS and Android, so head on over to either the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store for the download.

To access C-3PO’s voice, all you’d have to do is launch the app, navigate to the settings menu and you should be able to find that option made available to you. That being said, it seems that this is more than just a voice that you can use. Turns out that C-3PO has missions of his own too and will be looking for his fellow droids – R2-D2 and BB-8 – along the way, and users can score points too.

While it might seem a bit distracting, there will be other Star Wars-related elements introduced in the app, like stormtroopers, TIE fighters, and even lightsabers, so check it out if you haven’t done so already.
