iphone-6s-690x345The way our smartphones look, turn the clock back 20 years and it would have been a device we would never have imagined. It might even be the stuff of science fiction. However if you’re not really that big on the whole futuristic/sleek look of today’s smartphones, you’re in luck especially if you’re the owner of an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus.

ColorWare has recently announced that they will be launching a retro redesign of Apple’s new iPhones. As you can see in the photos, the redesign basically makes the phone resemble an old Macintosh computer, what with the faux ventilation cutouts at the side, the off-white color finish, and how could we forget one of Apple’s most iconic logos in the form of the rainbow Apple.

iPhone-6s-retro-690x414We have to admit that even though the design is retro and kind of takes away from the minimalistic design of the iPhone, it looks pretty good. ColorWare has been known to jazz up gadgets in the past, ranging from phones, to computers, and to consoles, so safe to say that they have some experience in this matter.

However these iPhones will be a limited run of only 25 units, which might explain why it costs so much. The 16GB iPhone 6s Retro is priced starting at $1,599 and will go up to $1,799 for the 128GB model. The iPhone 6s Plus Retro will be priced at $1,699 for the 16GB model, and will go up to $1,899 for the 128GB model. If you’d like to get your hands on one, head on over to ColorWare’s website for the details.
