pip_boy_appOne of the coolest game bundles we have seen in awhile is probably Bethesda’s Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition. This is cool because it actually comes with a Pip-Boy replica that you can wear on your wrist, and thanks to a slot in which you can slide in a smartphone, you can interact with it and the game like you would in Fallout.

As you might have noticed from an earlier unboxing video, the companion app for the Pip-Boy accessory had not been released yet, but the good news is that if you did order the bundle, you might be pleased to learn that the app has officially been released. However at this time of writing it seems that only the Android version is available, but presumably we will see the iOS version released very soon.

According to Bethesda, “This app lets your portable device interact with Fallout 4 on your Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or PC. Away from your game system? No problem! Pip-Boy will remember your status and allow you to access your data while on the go.” Note that the app will work regardless of whether you have the Pip-Boy accessory or not since essentially at the end of the day it is just a smartphone app.

However if you do have the accessory, then we guess you’ll just look infinitely cooler while using it.
