Last month NBC announced that it’s also launching an online streaming service like many of its competitors, however it’s not offering a proper stream of the linear channel just yet, instead the company announced the launch of SeeSo which is a dedicated service for streaming NBC’s comedy content.

At $3.99 per month SeeSo will provide subscribers with access to the best comedy shows from NBC such as The Office, Monty Python’s Flying Circus, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and the classic Saturday Night Live. During the announcement NBCU Digital Enterprises Vice President Evan Shapiro that this service, which is ad-free, doesn’t look to compete against the likes of Netflix and Hulu. “This is a complement, not a replacement,” he said.

It was confirmed at that time that NBC is going to launch the comedy-only streaming service in private beta this December before a formal public launch that’s expected in January next year. Today there’s more information about the private beta.

Starting December 3rd SeeSo is going to be available as a limited free public beta on web only, the service will provide access to content like 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Saved by the Bell aside from the shows mentioned above. Subscribers will also get to watch episodes of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers the day after they’re aired on NBC.

Those who are interested in signing up to be a part of the beta can go ahead and follow the procedure on SeeSo’s website, a limited number of spots available so there’s no time to waste.
