It was only a few months ago when it was first reported that Samsung had a truly massive 18.4 inch tablet in the works which was later confirmed as the Galaxy View. Samsung launched this tablet in the United States only recently and while it has been available for purchase, AT&T has now confirmed that it’s going to be the first wireless carrier in the country to sell the Galaxy View starting later this week.

The 18.4 inch full HD display is the defining feature of this tablet that also has 64GB of onboard storage with microSD card expansion up to 128GB, an integrated kickstand as well as a battery that’s good enough for 8 hours of continues play or watch time.

Customers can purchase the Galaxy View from AT&T in Black for $0 down and $30 per month for 20 months on the AT&T Tablet Installment Plan. With a two year agreement the tablet costs $499.99, it can be added to a new or existing Mobile Share Value Plan for an additional $10 per month.

New and existing DirecTV customers get promotional pricing for a limited time, customers who sign up for a new DirecTV service can get the Galaxy View for $99.99 with a two year contract. Existing customers can activate a new line with a smartphone on AT&T and also get the tablet for the same price on contract.
