gmg keysThere are several digital storefronts in which you can purchase games digitally. There is Valve’s Steam platform, EA Origins, and Green Man Gaming, just to name a few. So far games purchased from Steam and Origins have not had much issue, but there have been several complains in the past about the keys purchased from Green Man Gaming.

Apparently the keys the website sells are unauthorized keys, meaning that they’re not keys sold by the publisher. This does not necessarily mean that they are fake or pirated, but some have questioned where the platform has gotten their keys from. So much so that Green Man Gaming has introduced a new feature that will hopefully clear the air.

According to a post by the company on Facebook, “We know you want great games at great prices. In response to your feedback, rolling out from today on the Green Man Gaming store you’ll see our pages now have two new pieces of information: 1/ When you can expect the delivery of a key 2/ The source of that key.”

However despite the company’s efforts, the comments section of the post has been filled with many gamers and customers who are still disgruntled, complaining about keys that do not work. Of course there are plenty of other websites that gamers can purchase their games from, but with discounts that Green Man Gaming is offering, we suppose sometimes it’s a bit hard to resist.
