The preview program for Xbox allows registered console owners to test new software in beta before the new features and improvements are released to the public. It’s Windows 10 Insider Program proved to be quite a hit earlier this year and the program still continues, Microsoft has now even launched an Insider Program for Office, and you pretty much now what it’s all about.

By signing up for the Office Insider Program members get to try new Office features before they’re released to the public. There’s one caveat though, this program is available exclusively with an Office 365 subscription, with preview builds being provided to those who have the Home, Personal or University plans. The Insider Program does not cover Office 365 Business plans.

The Windows 10 Insider Program is free but this one requires a paid Office 365 subscription, other than that it’s essentially the same thing, with members being able to test and provide feedback directly to the company regarding the new features and improvements.

Office Insider Program covers Windows and Android apps but Mac versions of Office 365 are not yet supported, Microsoft says that these users will get support by next year. Members will get access to preview builds of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and OneNote.

Sign ups are now live on the Office website.
