minecraftAccording to a report from last week, it was suggested that Minecraft could finally be making its way onto the Wii U. This is thanks to a sighting on the PEGI website in which the Minecraft Wii U Edition was spotted with a PEGI 7 rating. Unfortunately despite the 12th of November date that was listed, we still have not heard official word even until today.

The bad news is that we still have no idea what’s up with the game because according to new reports, the classification on PEGI’s website has since been pulled. If you were to head on over to PEGI’s website, you will realize that the game is no longer listed and we’re not sure why that is or what is going on.

Even if the game had been delayed, the classification should still be there. So either the initial listing was meant to be a secret, or PEGI had erred and put up the wrong information and that Minecraft for the Wii U was never meant to be. If the latter is true it would be rather unfortunate especially when you consider that the game has made its way onto all sorts of platforms ranging from the PC, consoles (save for the Wii U) and even mobile devices.

In any case we’re still holding out on the chance that the game is real and that we might hear an announcement soon, but until then we guess you guys will just have to deal with this piece of disappointing news.
