rainbow-ssTom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will be released come 1st of December. The open beta of the game was expected to kick off today, but unfortunately it looks like it has been delayed. This is according to a post on the Ubisoft forums in which it was confirmed that the open beta has been delayed until a later time.

According to Ubisoft’s community manager Ubi_Jax, “We’re currently seeing issues with matchmaking times and disconnection on all platforms. As such we’re postponing the Open Beta until a later time and keeping the game under Closed Beta status. We apologize for the delay and can assure you this is our top priority. We will keep everyone updated regularly as we continue to deploy improvements.”

Ubi_Jax also reveals the specific reasons as to why the open beta has been delayed, claiming that, “Game sessions are not starting properly and we’ve encountered server issues, leading to failed connections. We’ve identified the root issue that was introduced after the Technical Test while fixing a separate aspect of the game. A fix is currently under test and will be deployed within the next few hours.”

The latest update was made at 6:15PM EST in which it seems that the game is still in closed beta. This is to test some of the fixes that Ubisoft has implemented but unfortunately that means that if you were hoping to get some gaming in tonight, you might be disappointed. Instead Ubisoft will be updating again at 10AM EST tomorrow, so hopefully the issues will have been sorted by then.
