The second beta test for Rainbow Six: Siege goes live later today, this latest open beta test has been launched to make sure that any lingering issues with the title can be discovered and fixed prior to the title’s release in December. About two months back a multiplayer beta was also launched and it was well received, players are going to put the latest one through its paces and their feedback will prove to be quite valuable for Ubisoft.

Rainbow Six: Siege public open beta will be available for download on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Players should expect a download size of up to 8.5GB, it varies depending upon their platform.

Players only get a pre-release build of Rainbow Six: Siege in this public beta however it’s expected to be quite close to the final version of this title, which means that they shouldn’t run into too many problems, even if they do Ubisoft still has ample time on its hands to address any and all issues noted during the public beta.

Network stress testing will also be conducted throughout the week to ensure that its capable of surviving the launch day and beyond, it’s particularly important for this title to ensure a stable multiplayer experience since Rainbow Six: Siege doesn’t have a single-player story campaign.

Up until the release Ubisoft will continue to further polish the game and improve stability on consoles, it currently runs at 900p on PS4 and 720p on Xbox One however Ubisoft says that minor improvements might be made in the future. Rainbow Six: Siege will be released on December 1st.
