skype-share-button

Everyday we come across a lot of interesting content online some of which we like to share with our friends and family, no wonder websites that share buttons which allow one-click shares to some of the most popular social networks and services. Skype is getting in on that action as well with the launch of its own share button, you’ll soon start to see Skype’s share button on websites that don’t have any problems with adding yet another button across their entire site.

Skype says that the share button makes it much easier to immediately share content with contacts on Skype, it lets users engage in richer conversations right away because they just need to click on that button to get things going. No need to copy/paste links or titles.

Skype has partnered with MSN.com to launch the share button worldwide, in India it’s partnering with sify.com, users can go to either site to see the button in the flesh.

Clicking on the button brings up a window where all the user needs to do is sign into their Skype account, then pick one or more contacts they would like to share the content with, add a message which will be sent along with the link.

Developers and bloggers can easily add the button to their sites as well, all they need to do is generate a code snippet over at skype.com and then paste it to get the Skype button to show up on their website.
