xperia_z5_camera_updateIf there is one thing we love about Sony’s smartphones, it would be its camera and the recently launched Sony Xperia Z5 series is no exception. In fact just last month the Sony Xperia Z5 managed to top DxOMark’s rankings for smartphone cameras, and given that there are a lot of heavy hitters on that list, that’s saying a lot.

That being said, if you do love the camera on your Xperia Z5 phone but you’re not really that big a fan of its UI, fret not because Sony has you covered. The company has recently begun to roll out an update that will update the camera app on the phone. One of the major changes Sony is making would be to the camera’s UI.

The update will bump the camera app to version 2.0.0 so if you are already running it, then you have the latest version, if not you can always head on over to the XDA forums if you’d like to get your hands on the APK and install it yourself. Apart from the change in UI, Sony has also introduced some new features.

One of the features is the ability to switch on the camera’s capture mode by a swipe on the screen. Another change is the ease of operations when using the camera in portrait mode. Users are also reporting that the camera is launching faster than before, which is always a good thing.
