Sony today announced that it’s new in-ear stereo headset for the PlayStation 4 is going to be released next month, the headset features a built-in microphone and noise-cancelling AudioShield technology. It’s a wired headset which promises to restrict unwanted sound from the environment so that you can fully focus on the gameplay and truly enjoy the audio experience that it offers.

Since this is a standard headset it can also be used on your daily commute with a smartphone, the noise-cancelling technology will work just as well. It can be charged and the headset will provide up to 15 hours of use on a single charge, the headset can be juiced up using the USB cable that’s supplied with the headset.

There’s also a built-in microphone that enables users to chat with their friends on Playstation 4, and can also double as a microphone for taking calls on a smartphone. A microphone mute switch, in-line call button and +/- volume buttons are present as well.

Sony’s new in-ear headset plugs directly into the DualShock 4 controller, and its 3.5mm standard headset jack ensures that it can be used with just about any other device.

The in-ear stereo headset for PS4 launches in the United Kingdom and Ireland from December 4th, it will be available across Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East and Africa from December 9th. Pricing and release date has not yet been confirmed for North America, the headset will cost £77.99/€89.99 in UK/Europe.
