Sprint has been teasing a new promotion for the past few days, even saying that its announcement is going to upset rival carriers, and today it has finally revealed what the fuss is all about. Basically what the carrier is aiming to do is entice you by saying that it will cut your bill in half if you leave Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile and jump on its network.

The carrier says that with this promotion you save big when you switch over to Sprint, it celebrates its network expansion and speed increases with this promotion, though it merits mentioning here that this is limited to most plans and not all plans.

Folks who are interested can bring over their existing mobile phone number from Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile over to Sprint and the carrier is going to cut their bill in half. Sprint has not yet revealed which plans are included or excluded as far as this promotion is concerned so you will have to visit a Sprint store or call the carrier to find out if your plan is supported.

Sprint has also said that customers who are still on contract with a rival carrier can get up to $650 per line from it in order to cover their switching fees. All of this should in theory making jumping ship a cost-free affair.
