star wars battlefront_4When games are released on multiple platforms, it’s usually interesting to see which platform tends to be the more preferred. For those who are curious about Star Wars Battlefront, it looks like according to the numbers from Player Stats Network, it turns out that there are more PlayStation 4 gamers than Xbox One and PC.

According to the numbers, the game saw a peak of 188,171 players concurrently online for the PS4. This is versus the 113,696 peak for the Xbox One, and 48,292 for the PC. This also means that when we combine both the Xbox One and PC gamers, the number of PS4 gamers will still outnumber the two platforms by more than 25,000.

Of course these aren’t official figures and to date, we still don’t have the official number of how many units Battlefront has sold, let alone a breakdown of sales on the different platforms. However so far it seems like at least based on these figures, the PS4 is in the lead. This also seems to corroborate Sony’s claim of how shooter fans are moving towards to the PS4.

According to Player Stats Network, “We don’t calculate anything ourselves; these are direct numbers for every platform,” in a post on NeoGAF. So far reviews of Star Wars Battlefront have been largely positive so if you haven’t gotten the game yet, the number of players and the rave reviews should be a good enough reason to check it out.
