johnlegereYesterday Sprint promised that they had an announcement to make that would upset rival carriers. Today the carrier announced a promotion that basically cuts your bill in half if you were to bring your mobile phone number from AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon onto its network. Customers would also be given up to $650 to cover switching fees.

Sounds like a pretty good deal, doesn’t it? Was Sprint successful in riling up its competition? While AT&T and Verizon have yet to respond, it looks like T-Mobile’s CEO John Legere had a lot to say about it. In a series of tweets posted by Legere, basically railed against Sprint and pointed out 10 different ways in which he believes that T-Mobile’s plans and offerings are just better in general.

Legere has never been one to remain quiet, especially when it comes to the competition, so we guess this shouldn’t really come as a surprise. Some of the things he pointed out was how T-Mobile subscribers get unlimited music and video streaming, the ability to roll forward unused data, tethering that’s included in their plans, and activation fees, just to name a few.

Of course at the end of the day it’s really up to customers to decide which carrier is best suited for them. Maybe Sprint has features that T-Mobile doesn’t, maybe Sprint’s coverage is better in their area than T-Mobile’s, and so on, but we have to admit that Legere does make a pretty compelling argument.
