blackberry-priv-review_ubergizmo_10Are you interested in getting your hands on the BlackBerry PRIV? The handset is currently available for order via BlackBerry’s website directly, but if you wanted to get your hands on the device via a carrier like T-Mobile, you’d be out of luck but it seems that if you were to remain patient, you could get your hands on the device soon.

According to a report from CNET, it seems like something could be announced soon. A T-Mobile spokeswoman told the publication, “While we don’t carry the Priv right now, we may have something to report soon. We are definitely talking with BlackBerry.” This echoes our earlier report but this time round, the news is starting to sound a bit more positive.

However as per our previous report, the T-Mobile rep did state that the phone could still be used on the network even if you did not purchase it from them, so if you have an unlocked BlackBerry PRIV, feel free to go ahead and use it on the carrier’s network. However if you’d rather wait and maybe purchase the phone on an installment plan, we guess you’ll have to wait and see what kind of deal T-Mobile and BlackBerry workout.

In the meantime it looks like the relationship between both companies has gotten a lot better. Last year T-Mobile and BlackBerry’s partnership came to an end and it did not end very well, with T-Mobile seemingly taking pot shots at the handset maker, but that looks like it’s all water under the bridge now.
