macbook_air_2013_3-800x270Apple’s MacBook Air used to be the company’s thinnest laptop, at least until the new MacBooks came along to the party. However if the power of the MacBook and the lack of ports kind of put you off, fret not because it seems that come WWDC 2016, Apple could be introducing new thinner MacBook Airs.

According to the rumors, Apple is said to introduce a much thinner version of the MacBook Air in 2016, and apparently they will also introduce a new screen size in the form of a 15-inch model. There was no mention of whether or not the 11-inch model will be given the slim treatment as well, or if Apple might skip it since the MacBook kind of already takes up that spot.

That being said, many had also speculated that Apple could eventually discontinue the MacBook Air as the new MacBook offers up a slim and portable design, and if users wanted more power they could opt for the MacBook Pro, so a redesign of the MacBook Air could no doubt breathe some life back into the lineup.

The introduction of a 15-inch model is also interesting as this size has been exclusive to the MacBook Pro lineup in the recent years. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think of a slimmer 15-inch MacBook Air? Is that a laptop you might be interested in?
