blue-shadeAmazon intends to augment their 2015 tablet range in a new update that has already rolled out, and boy does it come with some very interesting features. Among some of the new capabilities that have been thrown into the mix include Blue Shade, which is a nighttime reading mode that will ensure the display minimizes the amount of blue light output – and this will hit the Fire HD 10, Fire HD 8, Fire Kids Edition, and Fire tablets.

The Blue Shade setting will hopefully be able to improve reading conditions in dark or dimly lit environments through the shifting of the color temperature of the display away from the blue end of the spectrum as well as dimming the brightness. There is also an ultra-low level that will target extremely dark rooms as well. .

Blue light is said to hinder the body’s ability to fall asleep, and the end result? Sleeplessness as well as loss of productivity. There are other enhancements that will arrive on the Fire OS 5 Bellini tablets too, which will hopefully make the child’s experience with the tablet better .Among them are the parental Activity Center and a Kid Browser.

If you happen to have the Fire OS 5 Bellini tablet (or tablets), then do look out for the new update.
