blackberry-priv-review_ubergizmo_05The BlackBerry Priv is the latest smartphone from BlackBerry, however it represents more than just another handset in the company’s lineup. It represents a new direction that BlackBerry is headed towards, which is creating handsets with Android as its operating system of choice, something that many analysts and customers have called upon BlackBerry to do in the past.

That being said, we’re sure many are curious as to how well the handset is doing in terms of sales. Was the choice of Android the right one? Did many customers bite when they learnt of the choice to use Android in the Priv? The good news is that there is a chance we could find out how well the phone is doing come 18th of December.

This is apparently when BlackBerry is expected to announce their third quarter fiscal 2016 results, so hopefully during the announcement the Canadian company will share the details on how well the phone has sold, how many units, how much revenue they have managed to bring in, and so on.

Prior to this, BlackBerry’s Q2 results weren’t exactly stellar. The company had previously announced a loss of $66 million and only managed to sell 800,000, a number that companies such as Apple and Samsung manage over a weekend alone. Either way hopefully we’ll find out in the coming weeks, so check back with us later for the updates.
