Love is a many splendored thing, and different people express their love in different ways, hence the famous 5 love languages. Having said that, some folks love their pet dog more than others, which is why the pet funeral business can be a lucrative one if done right. A British couple who loved their deceased dog dearly has gone out of their way to spend close to $100,000 in order to clone the deceased pooch.

Laura Jacques, 29, and Richard Remde, 43, of Yorkshire, United Kingdom, welcomed not one, but two new puppies on Boxing Day, naming them Chance and Shadow, where Chance and Shadow were cloned using the DNA of Dylan, their deceased boxer. Dylan the boxer passed away due to a brain tumor in June, where his DNA samples were then sent to Sooam Biotech Research Foundation in South Korea. This Foundation offers a commercial dog-cloning service for approximately $100,000 for each procedure.

So far, Sooam Biotech claims to be the sole legit laboratory of its kind worldwide, and has achieved a number of successful cases to the tune of hundreds of cloned dogs, where the latest achievement is worth trumpeting since it took DNA samples from Dylan more than a fortnight after Dylan passed on, whereas the previous “record” was just five days, relatively speaking. In other words, things have gotten more complicated and challenging, and yet Sooam Biotech managed to overcome whatever hurdles that were in place. Would you spend that kind of money to clone your deceased dog?
