instant articlesEarlier this October, we heard Facebook make the announcement that instant articles visible from the News Feed will be seen by iOS users, whereas those who are rocking to the Android platform would be able to enjoy it in beta form. With numerous articles being published daily in such a format, those articles are said to load a whole lot faster as opposed to being on a regular browser, and it seems that instant articles for Android would no longer be in beta, as the feature has been made live for Android users.

This is certainly good news, taking into consideration how Android happens to be the most used mobile operating system worldwide. Such instant articles are easily recognizable, since they boast of a lightning bolt icon in the top right corner, and you will hardly see any delay in the time from where you tap the article and read it.

This particular format will also play nice with both audio captions and photo galleries, hence resulting in a richer reading experience, and it is a relief to know that plenty of advertising and analytics which normally run on the background are no longer there so that load times can be improved dramatically.
