ff7With the popularity and cult status of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII, safe to say that many are eagerly anticipating the release of the Final Fantasy VII Remake, which was announced earlier this year during E3 2015. So far based on the game’s trailer, things are looking pretty good and thanks to a recent interview, additional details have been revealed.

In an interview with Dengeki PlayStation (translated by Gematsu) this week, the game’s director Tetsuya Nomura and the game’s producer Yoshinori Kitase were asked several questions about the upcoming game. One of those questions is with regards to the voice acting in the game in which Nomura said, “Basically, it will be fully voiced. We still haven’t decided the voices of the characters that weren’t in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.”

Kitase went on to add that this also meant that dating events will also be fully voice, something that gamers can look forward to. “It would be impossible not to. (Laughs.) However, since it’s different from that time and social situation, we need implement the reproduction of original events carefully.”

Other features of the remake include how Square Enix will retain some of the mini games that made Final Fantasy VII so memorable. Final Fantasy VII Remake is currently in development for the Sony PlayStation 4, but unfortunately we still do not have a release date set in stone yet so we guess we’ll have to keep our ears peeled for more info.
