galaxy a9 leakThe possibility of Samsung launching the Galaxy A9 has been around for a while now. Samsung has since released other phones in its Galaxy A-series of smartphones and with the Galaxy A9 being one of the trademarks registered, many have been anticipating its launch. Recently the handset was spotted in a listing, and now a newly leaked photo has surfaced.

As you can see in the photo above, it seems that it is part of an official promo photo for the upcoming handset. The photo seems to point out the different Galaxy A-series of phones Samsung has launched to date, and at the same time it also appears to have confirmed some of the specs of the upcoming handset.

According to the photo, it states that the Galaxy A9 will feature a 6-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. Under the hood, the phone is also expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 chipset with 3GB of RAM. Other rumored specs include a 13MP rear-facing camera and possibly with OIS.

There is also a rumored 8MP front-facing camera, 32GB of storage, LTE connectivity, and a 4,000mAh battery to boot. Unfortunately what we know about the handset is that it will most likely run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop at launch, but until we hear from Samsung officially, take it with a grain of salt for now.
