Earlier this year GoPro announced the HERO4 Session action camera. For those unfamiliar with it, basically this is an extra small version of the GoPro. It sacrifices a LCD screen on the back in order to make itself even smaller, and because it is already built into a water-resistant body, you won’t need to pile on extra cases for it.However at the time of launch, GoPro was selling the device for $399 which might seem a bit pricey given its size, but the good news is that if you wanted a no fuss action camera without having to break the bank, you’re in luck. GoPro has recently announced that they will be discounting the GoPro HERO4 Session to $199.
According to GoPro’s founder and CEO Nick Woodman, “The waterproof HERO4 Session is so durable and easy to use… it’s the perfect way to capture rough-and-tumble family activities this holiday season. From snowball fights to snowboarding, the footage will look so immersive you’ll feel like you’re reliving the experience. I’m stoked that for just $199, everyone can GoPro this Holiday season.”
It is unclear if the $199 price tag is permanent or if it is merely for the holiday season, but either way if you’re interested in getting your hands on the camera for cheap, now’s a good time to do so.
