htc_marshmallow_updateAccording to HTC several months ago, they announced which devices would be eligible for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. However the question is, when will these dates be making their way to the phones that they’re supposed to arrive on? Thanks to a leaked roadmap from @LlabTooFeR, we might have an idea of when.

For starters let’s take a look at HTC’s current flagship which is the HTC One M9. According to the information, the handset is expected to receive the Android 6.0 update and Sense 7.0 in late December 2015. Given that we’re already halfway through December, it means that if the information is true, it should be arriving soon.

As for the HTC One M9+, the roadmap suggests that it will be arriving in Q1 2016 although no dates were mentioned. Other HTC devices set to receive the update include the HTC One E8, HTC One M8s, Desire 816, and the Desire 526, all of which are pegged for Q2 2016 save for the One E8 which will receive its update come Q1 2016.

Of course for those living in the US and bought their phones from their carriers, your update might arrive later pending carrier approval. In any case we’ll keep our ears peeled for more information regarding the update’s availability, so be sure to check back with us in the coming weeks/months for the details.
