htc-logo-sketchIt is safe to say that HTC no longer commands the same amount of attention and generates the same amount of hype that they used to back in the day. There have even been reports of the company not doing so well financially, but for fans of HTC, you can rest assured that they will not be going anywhere.

This is according to a recent report from Focus Taiwan in which they have quoted HTC’s CEO and chairwoman Cher Wang who said that the company is here to stay, and that the HTC brand will never disappear. We suppose that much will be true as HTC could very well continue to operate under the same number but sell different products.

In fact over the past year or so, we have started seeing HTC expand and experiment with new product categories. While they are still primarily a handset manufacturer, HTC has tried to branch out into other categories like cameras with the HTC Re. They are also attempting to compete in the VR space with the HTC Vive, and they are also appearing to be jumping on the wearables bandwagon with the HTC Grip.

While the HTC Re isn’t the success story that HTC was hoping for, the HTC Vive and Grip are planned for launch next year so we’re not sure how those will fare, but either way it looks like the brand will be sticking around for some time to come.
